With the WNBA season coming to a close, here's a thread giving WNBA GOATS from the past and present their well-earned flowers. A thread:

Starting with the woman with the most WNBA Championships introducing 5x champion Rebekkah Brunson. Rebekkah has one championship with the Sacramento Monarchs and 4 with the Minnesota Lynx. Brunson was a crucial player for the Minnesota Lynx dynasty. #WNBA

Next we have one of my favorite PGs ever, Ticha Penicheiro. WNBA Champion, 4x All-Star, and 7x WNBA assist leader. Name that pass? Ticha could do it with her eyes closed. She also has the record for most steals in a WNBA game with 10. @TichaPenicheiro
Lady Vol fans this is for you. Tamika Catchings one of the best players to come across the WNBA.

Lisa Leslie received more than 100 college recruiting letters before even beginning high school. In 2002 she became the first woman to dunk in a WNBA game. One of the greatest to lace them up, the accolades speak for themselves. @LisaLeslie

SC fans, this is for you. One of the greatest basketball minds on the planet. As a player with the Charlotte Sting, Dawn Staley led her team to the finals against the LA Sparks in 2001. She's a 6x All-Star and one of the greatest defenders ever. Her coaching resume
@dawnstaley

Candace Parker the first (and still only) player ever to win the MVP and ROY trophy in the same season. Need I say more? Here's a highlight video of her rookie season, she dropped a career-high 40 PTS with 16 REB, 6 AST, 5 BLK & 2 STL. @Candace_Parker

The WNBA wouldn't be where it is today without players like Cynthia Cooper, and those are FACTS. The Houston Comets was the first WNBA Dynasty. 4x WNBA Champion, 4x Finals MVP, and 2x WNBA MVP. UNREAL talent

Sheryl Swoopes played for the legendary Houston Comets as well. Sheryl played in the 3rd WNBA inaugural season just six weeks after giving birth. First WNBA player to record a triple-double, she went on to win 4 WNBA titles and 3 WNBA MVPs.

Deanna "Tweety" Nolan. 3x WNBA Champion, Finals MVP, 5x All-Star, All-WNBA First Team, and athletic ability out of this world. Career in the WNBA could've been longer, but she decided to play overseas in Russia full time due to salary reasons. One of the most exciting players.
Tina Thompson is a 4x WNBA Champion, 9x All-Star, 2nd All-Time leading scorer, and Olympic Gold Medalist. Highly skilled, high IQ, and would kill you on the court and look doing it with her signature red lip. @IamTinaThompson

Minnesota fans step the mic. All of Maya Moore's career accolades won't fit into this tweet so heres a sneak peek. 4x Champion

5x All-WNBA First Team
