Today was my mother& #39;s birthday and I cooked the entire day& #39;s meal for the family

Few things I learnt today
Cooking is fun, I agree. I enjoy cooking meals for me now and then.
BUT COOKING FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY.......
It is a VERY difficult task.
Today I learnt:
1. Just standing for a long period of time is tiring. (Ignore the fact that it can get really hot and humid in the kitchen)

Today I learnt:
1. Just standing for a long period of time is tiring. (Ignore the fact that it can get really hot and humid in the kitchen)
2. Managing the kitchen is very annoying. It took me just 5 minutes to fill up the entire kitchen shelf with stuff.
3. Managing time alone is a difficult task.
When to start cooking so that the dishes will be prepared by the time everyone needs food.

4. Managing quantity can be very difficult.
Like, when we cook for ourselves we know how much ingredients we need to satisfy our hunger (or craving).
BUT ASSUMING QUANTITY FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY.
AND
EVEN GETTING IT RIGHT.
That requires a lot of experience.

5. Feeding the family first and not eating it yourself requires a huge deal of sacrifice and control.
In the morning, the stuffings I prepared for the sandwiches were less and it was too late by the time I realised it.
I had to prepare sandwiches for others knowing that

6. Let& #39;s not even talk about cleaning the kitchen and washing the dishes later after doing all of this.
It requires....I don& #39;t know what. (I gave up at this point. My father washed the dishes)

I realised that we as kids take it all as granted.
Everyday our mothers cook us meal.
They listen to our choices.
Sometimes we even get cranky when the food is not prepared on time or when it is not of our choice.
We should not take it as granted.

In short,
Thanks to our mothers who feed us everyday without complaining or skipping
