Still no official word from Franklin County Board of Elections, but I've updated this story in a couple of ways worth noting. Thread (1/?) https://twitter.com/RickRouan/status/1313571673623285760
First, it sounds like checking your precinct number is NOT good enough. Some voters have been told to use the “Sample Ballot” feature on the board’s website and to check the AB Style number in the bottom right corner of their ballot. https://vote.franklincountyohio.gov/Search
Go to the Search. Type in your address, and then click where it gives you the option to see a printable PDF of what ballot you SHOULD have received. In the bottom right corner of the ballot, the AB Style number should match the ballot you received in the mail.
If you have the wrong ballot, you can go to the Franklin County Board of Elections and cast an in-person early vote. That's just another way to vote absentee. If you try to vote in person on Election Day, you'll have to vote a provisional ballot.
If you're scared of contracting the coronavirus by going in person, hang tight. We're still waiting for information about how the board is going to remedy the vote by mail problem.
Also worth noting, we've seen problems with the wrong ballots going to voters in New York City as well. The board there promised to send replacement ballots with a letter explaining the error and how voters should proceed.
That's what we know for now. Check back in the story I RT'd at the start of this thread for more details as we get them. (7/7)
