Here's a little thread about me and the amazing companies I work with
This is me. I'm a Scottish/Kiwi/Aussie hybrid with a laugh you can hear from space.

In 2012 I left my advertising job in Sydney to become a bartender @TheHangingBat because I wanted to learn about beer. I was hooked as soon as I arrived, the education I was provided with was A+ and I am still friends with the team who I started with

I was fortunate enough to have a role created with the awesome folk @NewWaveBeers doing all the most boring admin stuff, but that meant that I got to know the long list of amazing breweries they worked with. It was ace.
I took a hiatus from the beer world because I didn't think there were any jobs for me where I could combine my love of beer and my marketing background. I was wrong, it took a few years, but eventually I joined @BklynBreweryUK
I'm still friends with the passionate folk I met.

After 3yrs I was made redundant. I felt like the rug had been well and truly pulled out from under me. I had no idea what I would do next. But as has happened a few times now (I am so fortunate), a friend from a previous role put me forward for a job
Queue @BlackIsleBeer - what a shift from Brooklyn, but man was it just what I needed! I got a chance to work on things from a brand level and loved it. It was nice to be around people who were passionate about beer and the environment. That role was temporary, but...
When I launched my freelance beer marketing gig, they were right there ready to work with me. A pretty great way to start out! Next step... find some other clients
(Cliff hanger right?!)

Bring on @NewZealandBeer and my pal Todd. Kindred kiwi spirits. I'm now working on all their marketing/brand projects, and it's awesome. But 2 jobs isn't enough right?
During lockdown I was bored, stressed and feeling like I didn't have a purpose. So I messaged my pals @pilotbeeruk and asked if I could come in and help out, to maintain my sanity. Now I work in the brewery shop every Saturday as my 'after school job' and I bloody love it.
This is a super indulgent thread, I know. If you know me you won't be at all surprised. I think I wrote it to remind myself that no matter what happens, I'll find new opportunities, and ways to work with amazing people. I am seriously hashtag blessed. Even if I'm a little scared.
