Hold on, ima do a detailed thread on how exactly I got my account back. It’s pretty much the same process as others mentioned, but a lot happened that people don’t tell you. 😭
Okay so when you initially lose access and they ask you to wait 24 hours for review to be sure everything is all good and what not....start crying cause your account has been disabled.
You’ll never be notified after the 24 hours for “review” either, you’ll probably just keep trying to log in and then get a message like this.
Once you get that message, you’ve probably cursed a little that’s okay, just click learn more and everything will be okay....wrong.

After selecting to “learn more” you’ll read through and see an option that allows you to appeal the disabled Instagram account.
This is only if you truly believe it was a mistake and you haven’t violated any of the community guidelines.

You’ll go for an appeal and the form will look like this: https://help.instagram.com/contact/606967319425038
The crazy thing about this form is....it’ll never submit. It will tell you that they can’t verify your account...which is crazy......cause it’s disabled
You’ll do a little more digging and find ANOTHER appeal process. That form will look like this: https://help.instagram.com/contact/1652567838289083
This is where the emotional roller coaster really begins cause you’ll think you’re finally getting somewhere.

You answer all their questions and you’ll get an email asking for more proof. It’s automated but they’ll be a name attached to it like you’re talking to someone.
Now you’re really looking stupid cause they give you no time frame of waiting, after you send in 109 mugshots, they’ll never respond with any confirmation of even receiving the email.
EYE knew I was not about to wait. So I dug deeper. I had to figure how to talk to an actual person.
So, this honestly only works if you have a business account or ad account or have ran an ad before with FB/IG.

Go to their support center and request to chat with a representative.
Heads up. You gone talk to 1 million people before you find someone who is actually willing to help you, they’ll all say they can’t do anything and that they have no access to Instagram. And blah blah blah
Just keep trying. No lie, I got discouraged and was like “I don’t want to talk to another person” 😭 I was over it, but then I thought about it......NAH
I talked to 10 different representative just spending the day starting new chats before I finally got to someone who was nice enough to go the extra mile and create a case for me. Here is the chat:
It was a mess. But when I finally got that case ID, it was UP.

They tell you to wait 48 hours. I waited 80 hours before reaching back out for a response because I heard nothing back.
Gave the agent my case ID, he apologized for the wait and Told me someon would be in contact with me and before I could even respond he ended the chat. I was so pissed and I’m like “bruh I’m not getting it back”
BUT their was a ram in the bush! God was looking out, I was checking my emails this morning and the rep who created the case ID for me, emailed me and let me know the account was back and the rest was history.
