Re: the U-Orthodox/Hasidic community and #COVID.

PLEASE LISTEN TO THOSE WHO KNOW (and those who have left) the community. IT& #39;S NOT ANTISEMITISM. NOT EVEN A BIT.

Yes, it& #39;s not everyone, there are amazing people (like @jacobkornbluh, @MeyerLabin, and others) who have been >

So, listen to them now - they will tell you who is at fault (like this amazing tweet from @MeyerLabin: https://twitter.com/MeyerLabin/status/1313731539625291777)

And now that there has been an uptick in most UO/Hasidic neighborhoods, they scream hey, it& #39;s antisemitism.

Antisemitism would be saying "Jews are at fault."
Antisemitism would be targeting a community, as opposed to places with a specific number of positive tests.

Frankly, antisemitism would be the government continuing to ignore as my former Hasidic community gets sick, as my immunocompromised grandparents are put at risk - and NOT impose new restrictions.

We NEED to call out the culprit.
We need to point out people who ignore safety

With all due respect to people like my friend @JonahNYC, labeling this as antisemitism is counter productive.

Yes, the Hasidic community gets targeted the most with antisemitism.
No, COVID lockdowns, and calling them out for ignoring safety, isn& #39;t one of them.
