1- One of Macron's proposals in his effort to fight separatism is to introduce Arabic classes in public schools to discourage the use of private Muslim schools and subsequently religious influence on Muslim youth. Of course, many politicians are protesting it.

2-For instance, here is former minister of education Luc Ferry (lol I know, irony) on teaching Arabic at school: "Do you think that families who have bought into the ideas of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafists will put their children in a public school?"

6- Arabic is one of the many languages of France and one of the world's most spoken languages. Yet it is perceived by racist politicians and pundits as a language that will end France's culture, being the language of "terrorism" and "Arab invaders".

7- Wait until they discover that Arabic is already taught at French universities including the prestigious "Grandes Écoles" that trains diplomats to interact with leaders in the Arab world, and wait until they realize that Arabic isn't just spoken by Muslims.
