Women reading BL are not inherently fethisizing. They're not an enemy. We have real, violent homophobia in the world and someone being interested in LGBT content is not it. Gatekeeping LGBT content is unhelpful, we're not an exclusive little club other people can't enter.
Unless you were born completely sure of your sexuality and gender, how do you expect people to explore themselves and find out they're not cishet? By not consuming LGBT content because they're not "gay enough"? How do you expect people raised in conservative spaces to relate to +
LGBT struggles and people if they can't even read and listen to our stories? Some of you treat being LGBT as a "cool" and "trendy" thing that makes you better than others so you get to gatekeep the content from them. It's awful.

Can't believe that in Japan we're happy that more people are consuming BL/GL and "normalizing" this content and our voices while some white american teenagers think it's cool to call people fethisizers and tell they're bad for the crime of liking LGBT content and not being gay.
I'll just add: I won't deny that there are fethisizers and people who disrespect/disregard mlm voices while consuming BL. Sadly there are assholes in every fandom. But they aren't inherently bad SIMPLY for consuming BL while being a woman/not LGBT. That's it.
