Whoever is running the @Trafficwmp account needs to have a word with @WMPTIU @markandcharlie and wise up on the principles of Road Danger Reduction.
Just to explain:

responsibility to WATCH OUT FOR OTHERS on to their actual or potential victims. There is already enough of this about - the stress on hi-viz exacerbates it and backs up the "SMIDSY" excuse.
It ends up making pedestrians and cyclists LESS likely to "be seen".

users have a responsibility for road safety" is at best meaningless: does it mean we should report bad driving, not drive in the first place because you're more likely to hurt someone else than if you walk or cycle?

@Trafficwmp should know that this is being explicitly addressed in the current @HighwayCodeGB revision https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/review-of-the-highway-code-to-improve-road-safety-for-cyclists-pedestrians-and-horse-riders .
We didn't give @Trafficwmp a very special award in 2016 so that they could come
