Regarding this tweet, I’ve thought about it recently and I feel it’s necessary, but it won’t be thorough. This is a thread of the best and worst shirt numbers in the #JPL but because there are a lot of bad ones, it’s more a top and bottom half

Even though there is a 1-9 and 10-18, for me, there is definitely a No.1 and No.18. But starting bottom half, I’m including @kvkofficieel . Not the worst and definitely not the best. Standard really. Not flashy and is a name and number
Same applies to @ExcelMouscron . Almost identical to Kortrijk, that’s why you can’t have a bottom half. Name, number, full, samey...moving on
Apologies for the pic, and without being too unkind, @kvoostende is down there big time. Luckily their on pitch performances are distracting from their numbering. Poor
Unfortunately @KAAGent numbers are as uninspiring as their play this season. Difference is, their performances can get better, but their numbers and lettering have to stay the same. Rumours are this upsets Chuk more than the results
With 4 of the worst 5 out of the way, I guess it’s the least ‘glamorous’ getting picked on now, and that includes @ESSEVEELIVE . I don’t mind it, but you could say it’s just a more rounded version of Kortrijk and Mouscron.
Here, @kbeerschotva are slightly different as theirs is more unique than others. I’m not a fan, and like I said, this is more 10-17 until I announce the worst, but it’s different. Yeah, I’ll keep it at different
See I don’t mind this either, but why are the numbers so big?!? It’s as if they wear the number and the shirt comes off of that. Fits @kas_eupen kit quite well too
Again, not dull yet, uninspiring. @Standard_RSCL don’t have a bad numbering either, but I prefer 9 more that’ll be in the top half. It’ll do
And without sounding repetitive, same goes for @KRCGenkofficial . The font seems to work for the kit, unless I’m just used to Genk’s shirt prints. Never a contender, but certainly not bad
Without realising the table has worked its way into the top half, I’ve included @OHLeuven . I feel they mirror their on pitch results and deserve to be in the amongst the top 9 teams. Very 01/02 Champ Manager about this for me
Honestly, @WaaslandBeveren could’ve been higher for their lettering, but smacks of Spurs’ old European print from a few years ago. Is that unfair? Maybe, but in life this happens. Plus you’ve had you fair share of luck this summer so it’s fine...
I really don’t mind @cercleofficial print. However, I think I’ve skimmed over theirs in my images and finally realised I hadn’t added them. To redo this is more a waste of time than reading this thread, so they stay!
Once again, different to others. @rscanderlecht have their own style and it’s alright. Never going to win the league here but should be around the top six. Seems about right in every single way...
I like this. I really do. But @ClubBrugge don’t make it top? The top two are quite similar, but this. This is good. The ‘Eupen’ huge numbers but has more personality
Second in the table! Such an achievement for @STVV in a, so far, dismal season. I really like the numbering and the jersey it’s printed on. Well done Sint-Truiden. How often will I say that in life?
But now. In 18th Place is @SportCharleroi . Reminds me of shirts printed in the early 90s where kit just got chucked to a player and that’s the number they kept until next week. There isn’t even a name?!? This would’ve embarrassed the JPL in Europe if they made it
And of course. No.1 has to be @kvmechelen . Outstanding in my opinion. Stands out. Goes well home and away. This...this is the future. What more do I add to perfection? I love this numbering
If there are spelling mistakes or lack of anything in this, it’s because I’ve written it, parked up by the sea after dropping my son off before shopping. It had to, neigh, needed to be done and I can tick that off my list!
