Golden Dawn is a neo-Nazi party that rose to prominence during Greece’s economic crisis. 68 people, including most of the party’s senior leadership and its 18 ex-MPs, are charged with belonging to or directing a criminal organisation.

Golden Dawn left a trail of violence in its wake, with its members involved in attacks on immigrants, leftists, the LGBTQ community and others. The main question the court will decide on today is whether these attacks were planned and directed from the top.
