Ah yes, my favorite Fire Emblem waifus

What I'm trying to say.
Hot female characters have existed in Nintendo games since dawn of time. It isn't anything new and if you think FEs popularity is the reason female character designs have degraded or smthn

Like. Have you SEEN Pauline. The original damsel in distress character. Try telling me she isn't hot
(this is her design she has had since 2006, years before Fire Emblem became super popular thanks to awakening)

And ok, yyou can say that none of these designs are really "waifuey" or pandering to the otaku demographic as they may be a bit sexy and hot and not youtful enough?

You know who is youthful and could be seen as perfect cute merch material for loneyl nerds? Like half of Zeldas (these two come to mind)

Also, the designs haven't degraded, its moreso design principles change over time and Nintendo keeps up in times. What may be super hot, popular or appealing one time may be outdated the next.

And like, we still get hot ladies that don't necessarily fit the traditional cutesy waifu mold.
Urbosa and Melony are perfect examples.

But yeah, blaming FE for Nintendo character designs getting worse or more pandery at certain crowds is...too simple minded, when its much more complex than that. Its less a game getting popular and more a number of factors, such as an artists style or trends.

We get it, you have a hateboner for the series you most likely never even played. But stop blaming the series for everything, when that series isn't even the thing to blame here

Also if you think FE just has boring waifu otaku pandering designs and not actually hot ladies then u aren't familiar w series enough.

Like, have you seen Titania from the Tellius games or Minerva from Archanea games? Most likely not but thats besides my point
