I've been seeing a lot of tweets lately about wanting to attempt to end their life. Please, please, please, if you encounter suicidal people, give them the support they need. Please avoid saying things like, "cheer up", "think positive", as these don't help. +++

+++ A simple, "how are you?" can go a long way. Oomfs, please let's be more caring and empathetic. This should be a safe place for all of us. Let's not invalidate other's feelings, okay?

maybe I could tweet something about the different dos and donts when it comes to dealing with suicidal people. I'll try to make that when I have the time to compile everything. As a psych major, I really would like to help out and stop the stigma against mental health.
