I feel like there's an essay to be written on the seemingly insatiable desire out there to make jokes about Miller and Covid that imply that he's not human. It feels excessive...which, in my pop-psychology mind, is a sign that something else is going on.

There's a reason why Miller is the longest serving Trump advisor who is not a family member. His ideology may be vile, but he is the communicative, connective tissue between Trump and his base. He is in touch with the troubling, though very human emotions that fire up MAGA-ville.

Trump may lose in November, but Trumpism is not going away any time soon. The dark human energies that Miller is so good at channeling are also not going away, and dehumanizing him (as he does to others) is not gonna do much to help us chart a path out of this mess.
