heres a thread abt why fabragh (fabian and ragh) is my favorite d20 ship

most of why i enjoy fabragh is in season 2, since ragh didnt have many positive interactions with PCs other than gorgug in season 1
(but its clear that fabian at the very least respected his strength from how he encouraged ragh to fight goldenhoard in the finale)

and then season 2 starts up and ragh wants to make out with him

literally in episode 1 their relationship is shown to have improved when ragh mistakes gorgug and fabian& #39;s offer to be a hireling for a makeout sesh and is FULLY down

(also directly after this clip fabian says "wow youve been working. OUT man")

then in the next episode they have a bonding moment after fabian bites some glass too hard which ends in them hugging and getting cinnamon pretzels

so its safe to say that ragh is pretty much fabian& #39;s best non-bad kid friend (and is at the very least down with making out w/ him and gorgug) which could definitely make for a cute ship, BUT. it gets better.

so leviathan happens and fabian (who has probably never been in a depression before) has contracted pneumonia and is probably on his way to developing ptsd and no one really knows how to deal with it other than leaving him alone and letting him sulk

except ragh

ragh is the only one (aside from his surrogate mom) who reaches out to fabian and tries to help him, tells him he& #39;s not alone, wraps him in blankets and sits with him at his absolute lowest point

ragh cares about fabian. like, a lot. and fabian doesnt really know how to talk to people, but its pretty clear to me that fabian cares about him too

you can definitely look at their relationship and think its pretty one-sided, but fabian has ragh& #39;s back too, even when the rest of the bad kids are a little iffy on bringing him cause hes a lil dumb.

season two pretty much cements how much ragh and fabian enjoy each others company-- its safe to say that fabian is the closest person to ragh apart from maybe tracker, since they went on a trip together

the potentials of their dynamic are really nice too

ragh and fabians arcs are both DRENCHED in the theme of having to outgrow toxic masculinity enforced on them by people in power (fabians dad and daybreak/dayne respectively), and them doing that together is just..... MWAH.

also. if you havent noticed. their scenes are fucking hysterical. them interacting is ALWAYS gonna be fun, which absolutely doesnt hurt

obviously you can read all of this as platonic (except for the 3-way-makeout scene) but honestly thats kind of why i like the dynamic so much?
they care about each other, and even if they& #39;re not like, *dating,* theyre still friends, which is still really good for both of them

fabian has an inherent sense of entitlement to him as a character, which kinda comes with the territory of being a rich kid
ragh is still struggling to accept the fact that the abuse he suffered at the harvestmen& #39;s hands isnt his fault

ragh is easily manipulated, but has a really big heart and is INTENSELY loyal to the people he cares about, and is actually pretty emotionally intelligent
fabian comes from a background that involves being raised by a chaotic evil pirate man with a hypermasculine worldview

i really just feel like they like.............. FIT together u know. like, theyd be so fucking sweet together dude i love it

in conclusion fabragh is a good ship and you should make content for it right now please (please. please)
