1. Told someone earlier today,

One of the reasons many minorities & women can’t settle, when it comes to Trump, with simply “agreeing to disagree” is b/c of Trump’s impact & trauma. Trump is not merely a politician, he is the whip that has been used too break open their backs.
2. Trump is not merely a Republican politician. For many, he embodies the white supremacy and Misogyny that they have experienced throughout their lives & in the church. For many, their spiritual abuse and subsequent racial or spiritual trauma was fueled by Trumpism.
3. When people who’ve been entirely unaffected by Trump’s presidency tell those whose lives, spirits, & mental health has been devastated by it that there must be peace b/t those who support him & those who don’t; they are telling people to kiss the weapon wielded by their abuser
4. So many don’t understand the depths of impact White evangelicals have had on the faith of many. Especially minorities & women survivors. B/c of their own privilege & lack of being personally impacted; they can’t grasp how their selfishness has devastated the Church.
5. Every time I see an evangelical speak about how their needs to be peace in the church b/t those who support Trump & those who don’t; I see toxicity. I see someone trying to tell victims of abuse & trauma to make peace w/ abuse and w/ apathy & indifference regarding their pain.
