1. The keto diet : I feel that the moment we use the word 'keto diet' : we are sending out a wrong message. Basically it's a treatment plan to remove a component which doesn't suit your body : which is usually the intake of lot of carbs
2. Addition of too much fat in the form of BPC and other things can lead to issues as well . The proportion has to be correct and the initial symptoms of carbohydrate lowering have to be seriously tackled
3. Electrolyte imbalances are serious and have to be dealt with aggressively.
4. Gut flora disturbance is another issue and needs additional probiotics
If the underlying health issue can be managed with carbohydrate optimization : it's fine to add some complex carbs like lentils and legumes.
In the end : it's not a diet at all : it's a personalized lifestyle plan. And needs a personalized professional approach.
