Also, Mark Thompson's comments about teachers' salary proposal in the most recent round of bargaining is factually incorrect.

Teachers' tabled a 2-2-2 general wage increase as its first proposal in March 2019, and that what was signed off in March 2020.
Other public sector unions were able to negotiate some salary grid restructuring, low wage redress, and some market adjustments. BCTF made similar proposals.

Nothing BCTF tabled in this regard that was different from what was tabled elsewhere - and signed-off elsewhere.
It remains the case that teachers in BC are paid significantly less for doing the same job as their colleagues in Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Yukon, and a few other places in Canada.
