Since 1 in 4 Edmontonians are millennials then we must design our city and communities to reflect the challenges our generation faces. It’s not enough to be just proud of having so much young people in your city #yeg #yegcc
#1 Affordable housing. Our wages either have to increase by 25% (72,000/yr) or the average house price has to fall by $76,000 for us to afford a home.

That’s ridiculous.
#2 Transit. We need better transit in Edmonton. I will be 40 by the time LRT gets to my neighborhood. I was only able to explore the city once I got a driver’s licence. This is a huge challenge for BIPOC folks who disproportionately rely on transit to get everywhere
#3 Support Local Business

Being a millennial in Edmonton is having a cute Resturant pop up and having all your friends visit it in the first week. In short, there is a real appetite for local curated experience and we are willing to pay for it. Our policies should encourage that
Edmonton is affordable but the real reason I continue to live here is because it’s full of passionate and kind people who work tirelessly to make it exciting and inclusive. There is so much potential here, from our world class theatre scene to the beautiful river valley
I am beyond excited to see how Edmonton shapes up for years to come and like many millennials, I am going to be right here working on making it happen and witnessing the transition.
And no I am not running for city council but I am damnn gonna make sure we get some solid progressive councillors in 2021.

And you should too. I ain’t about to hand over my city to the Mike Nickles of the world.
