I poked around to see if anyone wanted to share the space + Mike D mentioned his childhood pal Branko has a new food biz: stuffed buns. http://instagram.com/bunhaustoronto . They're amazing. It's just getting off the ground and he could use a place to bake, and a store front for pick up. 2/5

So we hatched a plan for Branko to come in yesterday during the day to bake, and sell out the front for lunch today. We didn't have any expectations.
I came by ODDS this morning, and there's Mike D helping his old pal Branko set up and get ready. Was cute AF. 3/5

They opened at 11:30. I went by at 12:30 to pick up some buns. Mike D just says "sold out, bro!!!".
All 90 buns were sold and gone immediately.
I was thrilled. Branko and Mike were thrilled.
What a fucking rush. To have a little plan, to execute it, and it work. 4/5

Clearly I'm sentimental about another time when this kind of thing might happen pretty often. But also grateful just to remember that feeling again. So until we get back to full capacity in life, let's all keep digging for that feeling and know that it still exists. 5/5
