I knew that the board would support Flick in this transfer window, but I didn’t imagine it would be this good.

Leroy Sané 🇩🇪

The saga that seemed never ending. Leroy Sané finally arriving for around £40m. This has been seen as the marquee signing for Bayern this window. At only 24 he has the potential to transform and shape Bayern’s frontline for a decade to come.
Alex Nübel 🇩🇪

Considered by many as the “new Neuer” we prefer to just think of him as the current Nübel. Coveted by clubs such as Manchester United and Real Madrid, Bayern snapped him up on a free transfer.
He has all the attributes to be a great keeper, as good as Neuer? That’s a massive ask, but Bayern hold in their hands a potentially world class keeper, who for the next couple years, will learn from Neuer. Another product of the famous Schalke academy, the 4th of this Bayern team
Tanguy Kouassi 🇫🇷

Whilst the focus was surrounded with Leroy Sané arriving, the signing of Kouassi went slightly under the radar. Arriving on a free transfer from Champions League finalists, PSG. Kouassi was coveted by Barcelona, Dortmund and Leipzig, but Bayern moved quickly
to secure his signature on a free transfer. Even at 18 years old, the young Frenchman made 13 apps for the PSG first team in the 2019/20 season.
Marc Roca 🇪🇸

The long-awaited successor to Xabi Alonso? Have Bayern finally got their heir to the former Real Madrid star. Marc Roca arrived from Espanyol, for a modest €15m. Likened to greats such as Xabi Alonso and Sergio Busquets, for his composure on the ball, and
footballing intelligence. Roca has been bought to push the team forward, and the numbers at Espanyol suggest this is an amazing deal. On average, Roca won 7 challenges per 90mins, more than any Bayern player, whilst his 89% pass completion was only narrowly beaten by
outgoing star Thiago Alcantara.

“In my position it’s important to be aware of everything, and only when you play without thinking are you the true version of yourself. So that’s how I train- to play without thinking” Roca said, on his philosophy.
For a deal rising to €20, this looks a truly exciting transfer. Linked with clubs like Liverpool and Real, Bayern have done an amazing business to snap him up so quickly and without drama.
Douglas Costa 🇧🇷

Douglas Costa returns to the club where he spent 3 years, between 2015 and 2018, making over 50 appearances. Costa was sold to Juventus, after a successful loan spell with the Turin outfit. Costa provides Bayern with a sense of unpredictability, which, in
tight games, could prove very useful. Costa has divided opinion amongst fan bases, many citing his attitude problems, and without the sufficient goals, to justify such a trait. There is however, not many players who have the potential to turn a match on its head, like Douglas
Costa provides. He is also familiar with how the club works, the surroundings etc. If Flick can mould him into a MiaSanMia player, I would not be surprised to see him staying beyond his year loan.
Erik Maxim Choupa-Moting 🇩🇪 🇨🇲

Relegated with Stoke City, struggling for minutes in the EFL Championship. Erik Maxim Choupa-Moting hasn’t done badly since. His move to Bayern comes after he joined PSG from Stoke City, a move that raised more than a few eyebrows at the time.
The former Schalke player went on to make 31 appearances for PSG in his two years in Paris. He even came within a back heel from scoring against Bayern in the UCL Final. A player who knows the Bundesliga, playing for Hamburg, Mainz, and the royal blues, before leaving for Stoke.
He is a player well known for his direct runs and dribbling ability, and will provide an ample backup for Lewy, if god forbid, we are without the Polish star for any length of time.

“I feel proud” Choupa said on his move. Welcome on board I say!
Bouna Sarr 🇫🇷

Bayern were well documented to be in the search for a RB this transfer window. A backup/competition for Benjamin Pavard was greatly needed. Max Aarons and Serginho Dest were two names that were strongly linked, the latter choosing Barca above Bayern. Q
“It’s a dream come true and I will do everything I can to help continue the successful history of this club” Said, Bouna Sarr.

Sarr joins for just under €10m from french club Marseille, where he made 181 appearances, reaching the Europa league final in 2018.
A player known for his dribbling ability, he averages just under 3 shot creating chances per 90mins, and could be a dark horse for Bayern going forward.
Tiago Dantas 🇵🇹

A deal that was done just before the deadline, and one to cause massive excitement.

Dantas, a product of the highly competitive Benfica academy, joins on loan from the Lisbon club, with an option to buy for just €8m.

Initially planned for the Bayern second
team, but it has become apparent that Dantas was a request of Flick, who sees him as the new Thiago Alcantara, so he will now be planned for the first team. Linked to some of the top clubs in Europe, Brazzo might just have pulled off a Phonzie-type masterstroke in getting Dantas.
There was a lot of murmurings on FT about Bayern’s lack of signings etc. There should have been more faith in the board to get things pushed through. All in all, this is a hugely successful (extended) transfer window
This is exactly how Bayern Munich stay at the forefront of world football. Signings such as Dantas, Kouassi and Roca, show an intent for Bayern to be dominant for years to come. We as a club, have some amazing young talent, and our under 25 team has amazing skill and potential.
We are FCBayern, and we are back, Europe! 🔥🔥 #MiaSanMia
