In Canada, a man having a delusion that the man next to him on the bus (who was fast asleep) was an evil alien, chopped off his head.

Affirming the delusion that this man sees evil aliens isn’t helping his disorder is it?

So the same man says that his penis is alien to himself

and demands that to cure his delusion, doctors must cut it off.

Not just that.

But the rest of society must participate in his delusion. Reinforce that his penis didn’t belong on his body.

What if he had said his arm was alien to his body, or his eyes.

Would we support that

Too?

Delusional people have never been helped by others playing along with their delusions.

It’s not kind to tell sick people that others are aliens or that their body parts are.

They need help, not positions of power.

Especially when these delusional people are dangerous.

The man who killed what he believed was an alien, murdered an innocent human being having a nap on a bus.

He had a family, friends, a job, people who loved him.

He didn’t deserve to die because a delusional man was wandering around believing humans could be aliens.

Starting to see the parallels?

Just because delusional men are wandering around believing they are women, committing acts of violence against women in prison including rape and murder, doesn’t mean we should let them.

The delusional man who saw aliens has been let out of

prison now, to the great horror of the family of the innocent murdered man.

He served his time but his mental disorder hasn’t disappeared.

He will continue to see aliens among us for the rest of his life. Should he be unsupervised for one minute he’ll become paranoid & kill

again.

We are dealing with life-long mental health disorders that deserve treatment.

They don’t deserve rights over the rest of the population who deserve to be safe & live in peace.

I don’t agree that alien-seeing man should’ve been let out of prison. I think he will always

be a risk to society.

Delusional people will always be a risk to society too.

It’s our job to both help them overcome & treat their delusions BEFORE they harm others. And to imprison them if they do.

Sometimes delusional people have a lot of wealth and power. That’s how they

Convince others to engage with and promote their delusions.

Make no mistake,
some delusions are worth billions of dollars to those who promote them.

Since when have corporations loved and cared about our mental or physical health.

Big tobacco had doctors on their payroll

too.

Big oil is fracking in your backyard.

Governments are structures. They don’t “govern”.

People govern. People with wealth and power typically. These days it’s corporations.

You know the difference between a delusion and reality. You know even when doctors are wrong

You know that when we cannot speak out against something wrong that’s it’s even MORE WRONG than we ever believed.

Medical scandals have always been here. Quacks selling magic potions.

The latest magic potion?

Chop off your genitals & everything will be fine.

You know that’s

about as effective as the man who chopped off the other guys head.

You know the truth.

We all do.

All we have to do to fix this is stop lying.

That’s all.
