AOC is an antisemite. Here’s why: a thread.

She has criticized Israel’s far-right government.

She endorsed Bernie Sanders, who despite being Jewish, is also antisemitic due to his criticism of Israel. He’s what my grandma calls a “self-hating Jew”.

She is friends with Ilan Omar who is a *gasps* Muslim.

Ok, that’s pretty much all I got, but I’m going to need something to justify my irrational hatred of her, and this seems like an easy card to play.

I’m very threatened by the fact that a young, Latina, working-class woman has been able to upend our traditional social order and challenge our societal hierarchies. Accusing her of antisemitism allows me to bring her down a peg and rationalize my hatred.

Alternatively, I’m an ardent Zionist eager to keep any criticism of Israel outside the Overton window by deeming it antisemitic.

And before anybody calls me an anti-Semite looking to shill for another anti-Semite, I am Jewish and most of my family lives in Israel. Many of you would describe me as a Zionist. And while I do often hate myself, my hatred has nothing to do with the fact that I’m Jewish.
