Actually the true title of this post is 'The Price of Love'.

I recently decided to go a bit broader with my search for love and try some new dating sites including Bristol Post Dating and plenty of fish.

BPD seemed ok I wrote answers to all these questions, then search for women looking for other women to date and about 4-5 women plus 15 incomplete profiles showed up.

I tried the 'who's available now' button and it showed 'nobody'.

It says I get free messages now. So I sent a message. Then I couldn't read the reply without paying around £16 per month which is quite a lot.

And a message arrived, but then I couldn't read it without paying. No one on there could really receive or read any messages.

I set the filter to recently active to try to find someone who was willing to persist, and recent activity on the site seemed to be people who had incomplete profiles who signed in a few weeks ago.

POF was ok, you could actually message people even though you weren't able to see what their names are. So I just said hi and it was sort of like this:

Hi

Hi xx

How are you xx

I'm good xx

That's nice xx

Good to meet nice people on this pof

Yes xx

Then POF was trying to upgrade me to 'get your read receipts', in order to be able to tell if my message was read.
