My PhD was on illiteracy in the C19th novel and I’m dyslexic, I’m about to start watching Channel 4’s ‘The Write-offs’ - it works with 8 adults intensively who are struggling with literacy. I’m dubious about representation here, but interested to see how the programme manages it

Ok so Sandi Toksvig has just introduced her son’s dyslexia - sensible approach about finding alternative ways to access literacy. Seems that she’s on the right page re. rejecting the deficit model - this is good
