Before everything started, he was just a socially awkward kid. He finds out he was adopted at the age of 10. Because of that he had trust issues and sinks into the world of video games, causing his grandfather to beat him and making his life even worse.
But everything changed when he was stuck in a virtual world for two years. In those years he learned the importance of love and friendship, he developed bonds with other people, making him reflect on his own life. In the end he even tried to fix his broken bond with his & #39;family& #39;.
And he also met the love of his life that gave him hope and the purpose of living. She gave him comfort when he needs it, and she was always there for him. She taught him that he has to fight in order to protect what he loves. She was a light in his world.
But those two years also gave him the worst memories that continued to haunt him. He was forced to kill people at a young age, and he lost many people he loved. All those made him feel guilty. He felt that he doesn& #39;t deserve to be forgiven after the mistakes he had made.
But he never gives up. Instead he became a light to others who are in need. With his help,
-Sinon was able to overcome her fears.
-Alice was able to fight for herself and stop being a doll
-Eugeo was freed from his calling and was able to fight for what& #39;s right all thanks to him.

Even though he had the worst memories and experiences, he guides his friends with a smile. He always tries his best to stay strong for the people he loves.
But he never noticed the impact he had on others life. Nor did he act proud because of it. He was always humble (maybe too humble). His life is hard and tragic, but he never gives up. He continues to live on for the sake of those he love.
And that is why he is my favourite anime MC of all time. He has flaws and weaknesses, but he developed alot and is overall a good written character. He is Kirito the Black Swordsman, The Hero of Aincrad, The Star King of the Underworld.
