I emailed @EDSSociety outlining my concerns regarding the recent appointment of a known ableist to their Board of Directors - I received a vague, pompous response that outlined the executive directors credentials & didn’t address ANY of my concerns instead. Sigh. #YEG #ableg

Until I see a statement or response from @EDSSociety that addresses these very valid concerns with transparency and accountability, I am not sure if we can consider this to be a safe space for the marginalized communities they are supposed to be protecting.

The intimidation tactics emailed to me (by way of gaslighting, elitist bravado, avoidance and condescension) from the Executive Director of @EDSSociety were not appreciated but I am not concerned about me. I am concerned about the vulnerable populations at stake. #yeg #ableg
