DISCLAIMER: I am a practicing Muslim so I know exactly what I’m talking about and I have every right to speak on such stuff.

For the past few days, Rihanna has been painted out to be an Islamophobe using different rumors that turned out to be fake. This thread will be portraying how all of these rumors are fake.

First of all, an article has resurfaced claiming that Rihanna was kicked out of a mosque after posing inappropriately! That is completely fake! Rihanna has replied back then to a post portraying the article on IG and said that was fake news.

Coming to the post Rihanna posted herself wearing a Hijab with the caption “bitch stole my look”. In the English language, quotation marks are used to quote another person’s words which means that Rihanna was actually quoting the other woman not claiming that she stole her look.

Coming to the 2017 FENTY PUMA show, it has been circulating that Rihanna used the track called “DOOM” in the show before using it at the SXF show WHICH IS ALSO FAKE.

To also mention, Rihanna has won two very important humanitarian awards which are the NAACP Humanitarian Award & the Harvard University Humanitarian Award. Such awards would not be given to a person who doesn’t strive to make the world a better place.

Rihanna is a person that constantly tries to make the world a better place and constantly tries to make everyone feel loved and appreciated and she has used every platform of hers to ensure that inclusion is something to be highlighted.

When Rihanna started Fenty Beauty, she made sure every single person who uses makeup feels included and would find the makeup suitable for their skin tone and also has had a Hijabi model for her campaign (which shows that she respects the Muslim community)

Coming to Savage X Fenty, her main mission was to make every single woman feel beautiful/sexy no matter what body shape, race or color. She arrived to make the brand a safe place for everyone to feel like themselves without being ashamed.

Next, we have the rumor led allegations that Rihanna made her models wear Hijab along with lingerie in the Savage X Fenty show in 2019 which is also ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE.

Not every head cover is a Hijab and Muslims aren’t the only people who cover their hair *attached the hijabi model so you can differentiate between a hijab & a normal head cover (in the previous tweet)*

Coming to this year’s show, people are painting Rihanna out to be an islamophobic by accusing her of purposely using the song “DOOM” again (which never happened in first place because it wasn’t used in the Fenty Puma show in 2017) in the show to disrespect the Muslim community.

Rihanna was not responsible for the music choices in the show. Parris Goebel, the show’s choreographer was responsible *check pic*. I am not painting Rihanna out to be an angel but she is a human. A Christian Non Arab who was blamed for not identifying an Arabic Islamic hadith!

I’m a practicing Arabic Muslim who has watched the show and wasn’t able to identify that there was a hadith used in the song. If I wasn’t able to identify it, how was Rihanna or Parris supposed to identify so?

Rihanna was still attacked by millions of people and received an actual death threat on national French TV!

Despite of receiving multiple death threats, Rihanna took accountability and issued a public apology along with her brands replying to people and DMing them apologies. Her apology was straight forward and she took full accountability without any excuses.

Other than all of this, Rihanna has been a supporter to the Muslim community since forever. She has been an activist fighting towards the rights of Muslim people using multiple events, donations and charities.

Rihanna is a human being who made an honest mistake and has been the face of fake rumors and she does not deserve all what she has been getting. In Islam we say الله غفور رحيم which means that Allah is forgiving and merciful. THAT MEANS NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT NOT TO BE FORGIVING!
