Some time ago I said that a worlds team was absolutely dominating scrims.

I didn't plan to say who it was but now a lot of people in the scene have somewhat said who it is so I'm going to solidify that rumour and some others in this thread. I'll also add some info & opinions.
That team is Damwon. Some rumours say that last year they already won 90% of their scrims but this year it's really on another level. Earlier this year they would stomp chinese teams completely in scrims and as a result a chinese team completely lost their morale.
After that chinese teams simply refused to scrim Damwon. Apparently Damwon are not only completely dominant but they are very versatile, they can play any style through any lane. Their drafting is also really good and their map play is probably the best.
(imo) I feel like we can see how good Damwon's macro/draft is in their game vs Rogue. In that game it felt like Rogue was playing the few skirmishes they got very well yet Damwon got a 5k gold lead just by playing the map.
Even while having some of the best players, they didn't need to rely on mechanics to win.
Now it's not because Damwon is dominating scrims so much that they're favourites to win worlds. This also means that China are able to hide some strats in practice from them. It also means that non-CN teams got to practice vs Damwon.
Additionally teams like G2 & FNC int a bit in scrims and play so much better on stage and under pressure.
But for now it does seem that Damwon is close to playing like in scrims on the worlds stages and it's hard to imagine winning a draft vs them.
I also got some rumours that Suning is the best Chinese team in scrims. I think that it's what Wunder implied in his interview. A team that's not from a major region also did pretty good in scrims.
Rogue being in a group with two of the best teams isn't only unlucky for them because it hurts their odds of getting out of groups but MAYBE also because they can't/couldn't scrim Damwon as a result.
Pls tell me guys if you like this kind of thread and if it's good/bad that I add some info and/or opinions. Thank you! ♥
