Shorter: “Vote for Biden to double the minimum wage, lower healthcare premiums, and to take meaningful steps to reverse the climate catastrophe poised to decimate the planet.”

Biden isn’t doing nearly enough, but it’s odd how allergic Dems are to talking about what he would do. https://twitter.com/thehill/status/1313500764439019520
I’m deeply concerned that in service of electing Biden, Democrats are willing to jettison fundamental progressive ideals. It’s not just Biden co-opting “healthcare is a human right” or undermining the GND, it’s acting like votes should be coerced rather than earned.
The narrative in this clip is fascinating. “Protests are good! Our ancestors protested/fought for our right to choose our elected officials. But voting for a candidate who reflects your values is a “protest vote” which is bad.”
Biden could win without doing so *at the expense* of the left. But he’s choosing a different path.

I think he should reconsider.

But if he keeps telling the left he doesn’t want their votes, it’s odd to insist that the left is wrong to listen.
