What steps are you taking to provide new parents like @NatalieADrucker the essential time she needs to heal and bond with baby? Are you advocating for paid parental leave in your group?
Are you picking up her pregnancy and post partum call and not asking her to pay it back some other time which would require her to work double call over some period just bc she had the audacity to be a mother and surgeon?
It is easy to criticize the culture and establishment that produced this picture but we need solutions and I’d love to hear what we’re all doing to fix this.
