Honestly being sent to boarding school junior year was so traumatizing for me. Can you imagine not being able to talk to your family but for only 20 mins every other week and being monitored while speaking to them? We couldn’t tell them anything negative about what was going on

Showers were 10 minutes which included turning on the shower, getting in, being out, putting clothes back on and have it cleaned all UNDER 10 mins. Consequences if you didn’t comply we’re writing a scripture paragraph 75x

We were never alone. People had to be with you in the bathroom no matter when the time was. At one point they took off the stall doors and a male teacher accompanied the monitoring with his back to students using the restroom during school.

We were not allowed to give the names of our friends from our hometowns. Not allowed to discuss therapy or our diagnosis’s. Being gay was shunned and if there was hints that you were gay you were zeroed in on and constantly in trouble.

Conversations were always monitored. You could not whisper at all at the school. You could not have a conversation without staff present. All mail was read prior to being sent out to parents. If it didn’t fit what they thought it should be it would be taken away and punishment wo

We were taken to this “judgement journey” every year where we had to walk throw the “end times” and it was huge displays of people slaughtered in plane and car accidents, women looking for their children and at the end exhibit it was hell being acted out and real fire around us

I was forced to pick up rocked in a paved parking lot for 4 hours because my “sister” hugged me her first month there and always was questioned about her sexuality. All physical touch was prohibited. 90° Alabama heat and no talking

Look up Teen Challenge Cult in google and you will find so much information on what I’m talking about from multiple sites!!!! I will only mention my student perspective for legal reasons but it needs to be shut down. It’s so so bad. And I know it’s crazy but watch @parishilton do

@parishilton documentary. So many MORE THAN ONE student has died at the hands of this organization and it needs to end. I’ve been silent for too long because of fear of being judge & excommunicated. But since I already have been may as well call them out

Which by the way I legitimately have been excommunicated on both side of Teen Challenge. And it was for standing up for ethical reasons... I can not name what specifically due to what they would try to do to silence me atm. So much for a Christian organization
