This has been bothering me for so long and I just wanna spill it out here. I have recently stopped baking cookies. I love soft gooey thick cookies but for a specific reason I stopped making it or eating it like I lowkey hate it now. Why? I tell y’all why even if you didn’t ask

So, there’s this person I recently met earlier this year and she’s been watching all my cooking/baking stories. But one time she asked me what’s the recipe for my cookies and I really really hesitated to give it to her, like call me selfish but I only hesitated cause-

-it was a huge trial and error recipe till I got it right, like it’s foolproof already and I lowkey wanted to open my own bakery and put that on there (very imaginative I know ). At the end of the day, I gave it to her, full recipe and steps. The following week-

-she opened a bakery (in Philippines) and she’s selling cookies, and guess what!!! It looked like my cookies!!!
Now, I don’t wanna assume shit but like if you were in my position, you’d also wonder like she asked for my recipe then started selling them hmmm???-

-It could be my recipe right? I was so embarrassed to ask her if that’s reason why she wanted the recipe but even after a few weeks, I didn’t ask her until it was really bothering me. So, Johar gave me the courage to ask her cause he even said that’s so fishy. -

- I started the conversation with congrats on the opening yada yada I tried my best to make it seem not passive-aggressive like “By any chance, is this why you asked for the cookie recipe? ” lmao I tried I really wanted to say wtf I trusted you with it but like she can-

-actually do anything with it now. She replied with “hahahhahaha yes it was supposed to be for fun only but I didn’t have any income yet for the upcoming enrollment. Plus, I found my tita’s cookbook haha. Thank you for helping me too .”-

-Now, tell me how the fuck can I get mad at that??? I bid her good luck which I really meant from the bottom of my heart no fake feelings even tho it’s my recipe ahaha. Fast forward to august, someone requested San Sebastián cheesecake from me and guess what???-

-the next week she’s selling them too and again I don’t wanna assume shit anyone can sell a San Sebastián cake lmao. Fast forward to September where I was requested to make a red velvet minimalist cake, the next damn week, guess what lmaoooooooooooo hahahahahahahahahaha!!-

-She’s selling red velvet minimalist cake too hahahahahahahaaaa. I just wanna know tho, did I make a mistake giving her the recipe? Like should I have been selfish with it or like fuck it? lmao that’s all end of thread
