Cristiano has most CL goals of all time, that's a fact.

Comparing Cristiano's goal and title numbers in CL with those of old time players is the same as giving Cristiano a 80m advantage in a 100m sprint.
Since 1992 players of big clubs have a guaranteed 6 CL games season every year. Would have been a dream for old time players.

.. I take G. Müller as example as he's the old time goal scorer I know best and have seen the most.
G. Müller could only play 6 CL seasons. The other years his team wasn't league winner, so they wouldn't play CL.

All of them simply weren't allowed to play as many games as Cristiano, so that longevity and goal and trophy number argument may be applied for current active players, but is highly unfair to old timers.

Very inflated competitions today with lots of chances to score against weak nations.
So stop being impressed by Cristiano's high numbers, start putting them into the historic background we live in, compared to old times.
