motive village and their many years of controversies: A THREAD

*the word "allegedly" will be thrown in many times for good legal measure

*buckle up, there is a lot and i was NOT ready

*will update this thread as more information comes to light
first off: my moots know that i am generally a peaceful, positive person on the timeline. but some things CANNOT be glossed over and need to be talked about. everything on this thread is *alleged* and this info is readily available online. i just compiled it.
i am not in this to drag any of the actors. yes, i am a multi but i love the past and present moons with all my heart. pls don't twist my words to make it seem like i am throwing any of them under the bus bc i am not. we all know who our common enemy is and it's mv, ONLY mv.
i'm just another dumb fan with insignificant opinions, but imma try to keep opinions out of this. you can decide for yourself what to believe. if i missed any information, or got something wrong, pls bring it to my attention and i'll address it on the thread. leggo! 💕
CHAPTER 1: 2MOONS
let's start with 2 moons (2017). it was aired on one31 from may-july 2017 to a generally warm reception. apart from some criticisms, it gained a solid following both in thailand and abroad, launching the careers of the actors involved. season 2 was expected to happen.
2m is a project of CCDM in partnership with MV. the original contract had the six actors working together for the entire 2m franchise, which was 3 seasons in total. but in 2018, MV suddenly announced that it will be replacing the ENTIRE cast, citing copyright issues with CCDM
this came after 2m2 had been officially announced to the public&after auditions were alr held. it blindsided the original cast and their management, causing the latter to speak out against mv's claims, painting a picture of being edged out of the project w/o their knowledge.
mv seemed to blame this decision to replace the actors on everyone else but themselves, even putting the blame on one particular actor and then taking it back when they were called out

many excuses were made: differences between them and ccdm, lack of money to buy out certain contracts, and artistic differences. allegations of mishandling started too, with some background actors hinting that they weren't properly paid for their work on the series
the 2m actors moved on to different projects, including numerous series and a successful boyband project and some chose to focus on their modeling career. i'm so happy to say that the management groups of the actors are doing well right now and they are free from mv.
2moons2 (2019) aired on mello th and the new cast was well-recieved despite the controversies surrounding them. fans all over the world fell in love with the 6moons and praised their performances. soon, new fandoms were born to support them and the series.
CHAPTER 2: OF EXCLUSIONS, REFUNDS AND SILENCE
to preface everything, 5/6moons are under mv's management. one of them is under contract with an independent talent agency and is merely working with (and not under) mv on certain projects. everyone else under contract with mv, as far as i know.
as a result of the success of 2m2, mv became very active in promoting the boys in various activities such as fanmeets worldwide, endorsements, and the like. but not all was met with equal enthusiasm.
the most notable activity was a boyband project with the 2m2 cast BUT with one glaring absence. mv only issued an explanation amidst the uproar, and even then their tone was defensive, making it seem like it's the artist's own fault for not meeting their artibtrary "criteria"
promises of the artist being given other jobs turned out to be lies. there have been no noteworthy solo projects for the artist and his exclusion from the rest is being exercised to this day. rumors of an alleged personal vendetta against him by mv management persist.
it was up to the artist himself to quell the outrage of some fans by communicating that he was okay, and that he was happy for his friends. despite his exclusion, the artist supported and promoted the group wholeheartedly w/c gave permission for heartbroken fans to do the same.
the boyband did relatively well, thanks to their well-produced music video, catchy song, and the boys' innate talents. however, the fandom was permanently divided and scarred from these events.
another activity was an international trip with the boys worth approx US$1,060. unfortunately, covid hit and fans understood the need to cancel. however, it was handled poorly. cancellation was done a day before scheduled flights, and without proper notices on what to do next.
moreover, it was found that mv management allegedly lied about pandemic protocols as a scapegoat to cancel the event.

as of today, 47 fans are still allegedly waiting for their refunds from the trip with the boys that never materialized. alleged victims claim that they have yet to receive so much as an update from mv regarding this.

another activity that garnered scrutiny was the live online fm. the event started quite late, with a lot of dead-air and unorganized segments. fans were happy to see the boys all together, but not with the seemingly haphazard organization of the event. the event cost ฿600-900.
through all of these mv has either flatly denied allegations against them, given unsatisfactory statements or stayed silent about it, instead focusing their efforts to project an image that all is well with the boys and the company.
CHAPTER 3: PRESENT DAY
not long ago, it was announced that two of the artists are slated to participate in asia super young, a training/survival program in china. you can read more about the competition below 👇

that in itself is not an issue, but concerns arose when fans recalled the promises given in the past that 2m3 would start filming soon. the uncertainty of the artists' time in china cast doubt on not only the series but the careers of the other moons
fans started to actively demand an official statement on the matter from mv but, as usual, they went to their tried and tested reflex: silence.

at this time, more and more hints surfaced about the tension this situation created among the moons through their online activities
i would summarize everything but i'm guessing most of you alr saw this alr so imma just leave it here 👇

in the midst of everything, mv continuously tweets promotional material, like nothing is wrong. things came to a head when the official account replied snarkily to a fan who used the hashtag #saveEarthBenPhoom in their replies
it is important to note that although there are hints of tension between the moons, none of them are to blame. they are merely reacting and trying to cope with a situation they were all forced into by a company that has a track record for zero integrity
other industry insiders have come forward in support of the boys, most notably, 2m2 series director p'aam. in this latest tweet, he confirms allegations of favoritism within the company and its manipulation of the artists' careers
