After @Borisjohnson’s announcements today I think it is worth crediting organisations and individuals who have long supported the UK energy industry and pushed for these reforms. So here we go an appreciation thread. I’ve missed loads (sorry) – please do add them. 1/11

We’ll start where I know best, trade associations: everyone @EnergyUKcomms have long pushed for reforms across the UK energy industry as well as offshore wind. @RenewableUK who have championed and been experts on the wind industry, its supply chains and ports. 2/11

Wider renewables @SolarTrade has pushed for great action. In Scotland, who are leading on wind tech @ScotRenew have also made the strong case. And the work of @CBI_CC has helped bring larger businesses views across sectors. 3/11

We’ve worked with environmental groups and shout outs go to @GreenAllianceUK , @wwf_uk and @Greenpeace. And while not an environmental org extra big credit goes to @theCCCuk and @NetZeroUK 4/11

The generators and supply chain who have led from the early days - @OrstedUK, @RWE_UK, @edfenergy, @Equinor_UK , @SPRenewables, @sserenewables, @Siemens_Energy 5/11
