2) actor who doesn& #39;t do another job. Most of those jobs are currently not available. Most people in arts have complex skillsets, critical thinking, time keeping, working to non negotiable timelines, teamwork, information retention, concentration, reading and comprehension skills
3) 8 hour working days with added 3 hours at home prep work. Stage Managers manage multiple disciplinary teams of artists crafts technicians. On big shows a Stage Manager can be coordinating literally 100s of people to get Hamilton or Les Mis onstage and open.
4) Front of House staff and management are often actors. Dealing with public, coordinating different social functioning of large complex buildings bringing up to 1000 people sometimes twice a day comfortably and safely into their allocated space at the same time
5) to watch the previously mentioned Stage Manager bring the previously mentioned performers crew and technicians together to bring the lights up on time to entertain the up to a 1000 people in their seats.
6) Side note. Performers Stage Managers FoH technicians crew get really pissed off when the show goes up late. They are there in the wings, on the board, by the machinery waiting to start.

11) Film studios/sets. Same and more complicated. Timings throughout day really tight. Make up calls can start at 5 am and no one finishes till wrap which can be midnight.

13) Retrain? We retrain every time we accept another job. Most of us are currently, like the rest of the world learning how to move our stuff online. Most of us have already retrained each year in other ways of working using our transferable skills.
