Jadon Sancho - an update #footballindex

I very rarely go big on a potential transfer to Man utd (I didn& #39;t hold Haaland, Bruno, Maguire or De Ligt during their sagas). But I saw Sancho very differently - the risk was asymmetric - there was very little downside with a monumental upside.
Yes had he transferred we would have benefitted from a stream of immediate media dividends which in turn would have resulted in likely capital appreciation. Coupled with a forward change his PB prospects would have also been positive in red.
But staying at Dortmund with an almost guaranteed summer transfer in 2021 was always going to be a very nice fallback. Some experienced traders who I speak to in fact preferred this outcome especially given the current market uncertainty. Hence why I had such a big holding.
We now have an already huge transfer saga - rumble for another year into 2021. After Man Utd had a free run at him this summer, we will likely see other big clubs join the race for his services.
He earned over £2.50 in media dividends this year. Yes some of you will point towards "covid dividends" but we will have enhanced payouts (both next summer and next season), & a media system that actually works & not based on a broken sentiment system (e.g. Mata & Fred winning)
He could easily do between around half his current price in media dividends alone between now and next Christmas (2021)...

We now lose the certainty he will be playing in the Red of Manchester once he transfers. I still believe he ends up in England, with Liverpool the most likely competitor. At Anfield he would also be a major MB returner - we saw what happened in Salah& #39;s debut season.
In the unlikely event Real or Barca enter the race we are also protected by global media being implemented for the 2021/22 season. Regardless we should see an interesting transfer saga next summer that the media will be hot on.
Whilst we have no forward change, below the age of the 23 I see Sancho as one of the best (if not the best) "PB player" on the platform with a long term potential to develop into one of the best. I expect him to compete for Gold days and also team of the month this season

Price? Value? An awful lot more than £15 in my opinion once we get some market certainty but we& #39;ll see

Finally, some traders such as @Shark_Sports_ who were deemed right on the transfer - congrats - you read Woodward& #39;s competence better than I did!
