Quick DBFZ tip before bed:
Just because your 50/50 doesn’t jail on block doesn’t make it any less of a 50/50, especially if you open up the option of letting them reflect it. When you start inducing the fear of setting up the mix and baiting the reflect, then you’re playing DBFZ!
I win most of my games through conditioning and making people fear risking reflect ever. Purposely adding that layer of fear to my opponent goes such a long way~
Play the game for what it ~is~. It honestly is really impractical to get true jailing 50/50s unless you have like kid buu or some C assist. But playing the reflect mindgame opens a new layer to the game. Most people dont wanna take mix, so I bait them and tend to TOD them often~
FYI: this is how I beat Go1! 😁
So enforce “fake” mix. A 50/50 is still a 50/50. The opponent still has to make a decision. Try setting up a scenario where they can reflect or not, bait them, and then 5M and delete them. Promise they will think twice and take the mix next time!
A common way to do this is have your assist ready and do either button into superdash assist or do a button into ki blast to bait reflect. When I know my opponent likes to reflect to avoid my mixup, I shoot a ki blast to get them to whiff it and I smoke em instead 😈
