Right! I spy clear water for an hour, so time to deal with the results of the Great Greasy #DrawTimMartin Challenge! Now once your sitting comfortably on that spongey pub carpet and you've got your pint of Buggins Old Shit & a pack of badger rind scratchings, I'll begin. Ready?

Comfy? Cool. Now, I have to say that this was one of the best #Draw Challenges yet, with excellent entries from old & new contributors. Maybe it's something about the man himself that inspired you. But enough. I'm going to post the lot, more or less without comment til we're done

So let's start with @Acerte1's fine evocation of the great Quentin Blake, & this fine thing from @AuntyNationalAH, conjuring up Tim's fundamental scribbliness (emphasis on fundament). Then these from @BenChilton & @brookes_gareth

Next up, a charming tableau from regular @BurtOHare, lovely drawing from Cartooning big boy @cairnstoon. Likewise from @cartoonelli, & Tim morphing into both Michael Heseltine AND Christopher Walken from @cartoonsidrew

Some charming primitivism from @Chance4321, an eponymously crap portrait from @Crap_Portraits, lovely bit of follore horror from regular @crompolius and Dickensian squalor from @davidpeterkerr

And here's our last winner, @DavidWaywell, getting pathological, a gurning clodhopping Tim from @Ed_Grace, clearly some kind of spirit drawing from @geniaphobic and the Obvious Joke (and none the worse for that) from @Hennell_Draws

And let us pause for a moment there from the alphabetical unfolding of these excellent entries to address some themes that emerged. Here, for starters, are the 2 Worzel Gummages, from @DanSPeterson & @eddlyACTIVE respectively (always happy to accept all media, by the way)

And the two shapeshifting pintomorphic portraits of the Great Mine Host, from @etchedinwater & @flintworks (who assured me that isn't piss, but CAN WE BE SURE???)

Another none-the-worse-for-it obvious worse-for-wear gag from @JaseToons with PukeTim, foulmouthed fun with FuckTim from @JasonNParkinson, HauntTim from @JeremyWDunn &, I think, PicassoTim from former winner @joe_ackenbush

Something here from veteran pro & old mucker @KipperWilliams, which is very encouraging, a SlugTim from @Kloob, a MagwitchyTim from, suitably enough, @MagwitchC & a FleeingTim from @mahoneytoon

Then there's this lovely drawing from @marcENGAN, something simple from p[revious winner @mikestokoe, SpoonyMrSpoonsTim from @modernhorrorsuk & a very good "Vote Heave" gag from @mrahayes

Just getting under the wire with PissingBulldogTim was this lovely thing from @PeppyScott, a charming MugTim from @peterrdy, along with PukeCocktailTim, and Yowling(digital dry point?) Tim from @raisethegame

Then @robbybullen gave us both HowlingTim & SeriouslyOutOfFocusTim, MadTim from previous winner @RobertDWells & this great hommage to South Park (yes?) from @shadwell_NTT

Tho sadly those extra points aren't quite enough to grab the top slot. A special mention also goes to my brilliant mate @blueloutter for suggesting the @DrawTimMartin Challenge in the first place, tho obviously as she suggested it she clearly can't win. This, tho, is wonderful

Which leaves us with 4 last depictions of the Great Man Himself, each of which is, in its own way, sublime. I just love this Mervyn Peake vision of LionTim from @StuDrawings, and both previous winner @kevinwellsart & my erstwhile padowan @seamus_jennings' drawings are beautiful..

...but the winner of the Great Green Greasy Gutwrenching #DrawTimMartin is this, from @PrivateEyeNews's very own @SaHreports David Ziggy Greene, which perfectly captures its subject's deranged, obese, grubby, manic bumptiousness. Well done! That's all folks!
