Deeply moved by @AstroByMax's article on the issues regarding the lack of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ representation in existing institutions for Astrology.

I initially thought I would expect a call for sanction, but then find that I actually agree in the call to reform at this point.
Dynamics involving institutions will always see power and authority catering to the interests of a few until we as a general community have yet to transcend colorism, sexism, and ableism.

I have had to resort to my own means of learning everything I know about Astrology thus far
When friends suggested that there exists licensing/certification for Astrological expertise, I was appalled at the prices that came with them.

How different would these fiscal obstacles be to the hurdles in a conventional education?
For once, I believe that there is an intrinsic sense of "university" in a discipline that involves the macrocosmic interactions of the visible universe, and I've been dismayed by the all-too-familiar issues that reflect other conventional, educational pursuit.
I think that @AstroByMax did well to address these things in a public statement. I think that every person who sees this on their TL should pay attention to this thread and acknowledge that privilege, white supremacy, and systemic oppression will manifest in these existing groups
