The ol' adage is that the Keep Calm and Carry On poster was never used... but this itself appears a factoid.

There are several references to the posters appearing in #Swansea during WW2, published in 1982 & 1997, before Barter Books pushed it in 2000.

This remains particularly intriguing as the popular counter culture to the meme is that it was never used, but... there is enough material to say, "But it does jolly well appear it was trialled in Swansea so, er, perhaps we should apply a lil nuance?"
Another Twitter user stumbled on this a few months ago but it surprisingly didn't get much traction, but I now can't find their details to give credit.
