We had a LOT of rain over the weekend. Duck ponds & burns overflowed, had to put sandbags out to prevent a neighbour flooding.
Flooded areas on fields - photo of a field adjacent to the farm
I moved the sheep out of this field for their safety as bridge was nearly overtopped

I expected our fields to flood like the neighbouring fields.
Photos of our fields from 3 years ago when the burns weren& #39;t quite as high as this weekend.
A lot of standing water on the fields & a new burn flowing down towards the electricity pole

But look at the photos of these same fields from over the weekend - no standing water!
Only reason I can think for this significant increase in water infiltration is that we started doing regenerative mob grazing 3 years ago. Never expected to see results like this so soon!
