When i was 12 i volunteered at our local summer camp; at 14 i applied for a work permit. I almost exclusively worked with pre-k and k, or 1st and 2nd graders...They were SO fun, and also took 100% concentration, which most people can’t give

I did this from 12-17 *ignore that a 13 year old shouldn’t have been in charge of 8, 4-6 yr olds. I killed it!

and when people picked up or dropped off their kids, the energy was PALPABLE whether they wanted to be around their children or not. Babies arent dumb.

And the kids that parents were exhausted with? They were my favorite! So weird and cool and obviously off-beat. Did the best when you went with their flow! We need those kids! We need parents to have time to love AND like them!

I’m sorry that I’ll never take a parent or teacher’s side over a child’s it just doesn’t make sense imo
