Nigerians will be telling you a story from their life or childhood and it will just click to you that “this is a crime”, “a crime was committed against this person”

Women and sometimes men will be talking about their first sexual or near sexual encounter, sometimes even jokingly and the only thing that will pop into a rational listeners mind is "dude, you were (nearly) raped", sometimes the person telling the story may not see it that way.

Then sometimes people know what it was but as a coping mechanism, they blur out the import of the situation mentally.

My biggest fear is those who may take such experiences as normal and may replicate it with someone else.

This is especially funny/sad when you are in a gathering of people telling their funny life stories and someone tells their own funny story and the laughter stops for a bit...

But there are cases no one else notices
