Alright...here we go. As promised, my book mail catch-up. Not letting myself get this behind again. This is just going to be physical books for now, the ebooks will have to happen another night. #promotehorror #horrorfiction
Two titles by @KealanBurke. I’ve never read anything by him before, but I had to read more by the person that wrote https://nightworms.com/blogs/news/guest-post-kealan-patrick-burke.">https://nightworms.com/blogs/new... I’m not a writer, but it moved me. So thanks @SadieHartmann for posting that for #TeamHorror, then @Night_Worms.
These two came from @SadieHartmann’s article here: https://litreactor.com/columns/halloween-2020-reading-list">https://litreactor.com/columns/h... and looked like they’d be fun for Halloween.
@Id3aN0vel and @TeamRedmonReads did a fun thing for @Night_Worms where they recommend a book based on your astrological sign, and it was Bad People for me. Here’s the link: https://nightworms.com/blogs/news/the-horror-horoscope-by-matt-richelle.">https://nightworms.com/blogs/new... Worst Laid Plans was in a past Night Worms package I missed.
These two I picked up because of #TeamHorror Author Spotlights. Super excited to read both. @jonbassoff’s Captain Clive’s Dreamworld just came out and @paperbacksnpugs has a new book called Maggie’s Grave out on 10/8.
I grabbed these simply because I follow these folks on Twitter and they’re awesome. You should too. @Cat_Cavendish @timmmeyer11 @manylittlewords.
Werewolves are cool, aren’t they? That’s all I got. Heard good things about these from (waves hands around) all over the place. @SGJ72 @Buehlmeister
These two were recommended from awesome folks I follow. @thebookdad recommended @johnfdtaff’s The Fearing and @disneynine recommended @bookmovieguy’s Autumncrow. Both look great!
@NBallingrud’s North American Lake Monsters was amazing, so I had to pick up his next collection. The Midnight Exhibit is the first volume of @UnnervingBooks’s Rewind or Die series. I bought it because of @Kiera1Mackenzie’s interview on @ThisIsHorror. I’ll get to her book soon.
After I started getting to know the community and started following writers and publishers I thought were cool, I picked up some titles because they looked cool. @JeffStrand @UndertowPubs @GrindhousePress
Last one, whew...bringing it back around to @SadieHartmann recommendations. She’s recommending a Halloween read a day, and The Halloween Tree was one of them. She also recommended @tjoneswriter’s Criterium which I can’t wait to read.
If you made it this far, I’ll buy you a beverage of your choice if we’re ever in the same place at the same time.
