Shout out to @AndrewNJHawkins for making me feel old today when he reminded me of a deep dive I did five years ago on a few North American runners who had success as stallions abroad (...naturally a spurred on by Brits who feel like they supply the world with all good horses 😛)
Among those I looked into were Nassipour. Going back now and looking at this line, it's still just as insane to read:

"...as a broodmare sire, he’s had stakes winners from 1000m to 3200m."
Of all the stallions I looked into though, there weren't any whom I left having more respect for than El Moxie.

His story to success was unbelievable. [thread]
El Moxie was a son of Conquistador Cielo. He broke his maiden at Sportsman's Park and wrapped up his career when winning a $3.5k claming race at Mountaineer 18 races later. In total, he earned $38,549 racing.
He wound up standing in Tasmania and in his first year, he covered only 27 mares (nearly all of whom were supplied by the farm where he stood). He stood for a whopping $1,500.
