I've been a supporter of Victoria's lockdown from the beginning but it is getting harder to envisage a time when cases will be so low as to satisfy a proper reopening threshold. Today's 15 cases hit like a sledgehammer. Lockdown feels interminable. It is OCTOBER now.
Masks, sure. Social distancing, fine too. Being stuck in a 5km bubble is easy in theory but after months without family it is claustrophobic and shrinking. My son, now 7 months, doesn't know his grandparents. Reckon Melburbians just want to know the rewards are coming for sure.
And can all the social channels please arrange to block content in my feed that features people gathering at bars, restaurants, just anywhere fun interstate? I mean, I'm happy for you guys, but it is torturing me/us.
