1/ There’s a lot of noise about how our economy will recover like a V-shape. That is true but less than half of the times. What will actually happen is that the economy will recover more like a K-shape; half of the sectors will drown and half will boom.
2/ Let’s think about global warming and how it affects the world:

- natural disasters
- food shortages
- deforestation
- migration of species
- viruses and diseases
- poverty
- war

Disruptive innovation & technology are key sectors that will thrive by reducing these problems.
3/ Eventually this is the world we are heading towards as global economic chiefs and ministers will force the transition. This will cause a disruption in many older sectors leading to ⬆️ unemployment. That’s why you’re seeing a boom in SPACs and IPOs.
4/ These new companies all have a common purpose is that is to create as many new jobs as possible. Jerome Powell, 🪑 of Fed said that maximum employment is their goal to restart the economy. Lowering interest rates to almost 0 and letting inflation do its own thing means this:
5/ A secular bull market of hyper growth companies!

Let’s use the technology sector- why does it keep booming?

Innovative companies usually thrive during crises because they solve the newest emerging problems. Older sectors solved older generation problems, unless they adapt.
6/ The big companies that are currently in its prime will be taken over by a few from the birth of new companies. It’s hard to remain king of the castle over decades as new generations wake up with better resources and tools. This throne will always get passed down to the next.
7/ China’s technology boom boosted its GDP growth faster than any other nation in the world within the last decade. So what happened to China’s economy then, is what we’re going to see happen to America now. So, the reality is this:

It’s an economic race between Global Powers.
8/ This K-shape recovery isn’t going to be pretty but if you can envision where the world is heading towards, then you can get a head start by self-educating about sustainability.

I think this is a pretty important thread to understand so thought I’d share the blurbs.
