I can say with 100% certainty that there ARE Republican actors & actresses in Hollywood. I used to be one myself.

Actors must be able to understand the human condition & to empathize with ALL people, understanding what drives their decisions & behavior. We are often unemployed, often working paycheck to paycheck, often coming from nothing & building careers on hopes & dreams & hard work. 2/

We work alongside people of many backgrounds - men, women, trans, non-binary, BIPOC, gay, straight, poor, wealthy, famous, infamous, obsolete and as yet undiscovered. Seniors, children & everyone in between. We become family with our cast & crew. The bond is thick. 3/

So when it comes time to vote and we see that Republicans are aiming to harm our family members, we naturally say, “no, that’s not right.” When we see Republicans trying to make it harder for people we love to get married or get healthcare or simply survive, we say, “no.” 4/

Again, that’s just my perception. I was a staunch Republican when I moved here from TX. And then I traveled the world. I met people who were different from me and had different life experiences. I learned to care about people I didn’t know. And when I looked at the actual 5/

issues, I realized that my heart didn’t align with the Republican Party, especially what has become of it today. I love my country. I want it to be a safe place for all who live here. I want it to be a place where we can all dream big & have a chance.
